Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Vexo ("we", "us", the "app"), operated by Fahad Malik, collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the app. By using Vexo you agree to this policy.

1. Who we are

Vexo is a personal watch-tracking app that lets you log shows and movies, rate and review them, build lists, and follow other users. The app is operated by Fahad Malik, based in Pakistan.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what is needed to run the app:

• Account information: your email address and an encrypted password, or, if you sign in with Google or Apple, the basic profile information (name, email, avatar) those providers share with us.
• Profile information: your username, display name, optional bio, and avatar.
• App content you create: the titles in your library, watch status and episode progress, ratings, reviews, lists, and who you follow.
• Technical information: basic, standard logs (such as app errors and request metadata) used to keep the service working and secure.

We do not collect your contacts, precise location, or payment information, and Vexo has no ads or third-party advertising trackers.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Create and secure your account and sign you in.
• Provide the core features: your library, progress, ratings, reviews, lists, and social following.
• Send you essential service emails, such as email verification and password reset.
• Maintain, debug, and protect the app against abuse.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. How your information is stored and shared

We rely on a small number of trusted third-party providers to operate the app — for example, secure cloud hosting for your account and data, and an email service for verification and password-reset messages. They process your information only to provide their service to us and may not use it for their own purposes.

Some information you choose to share is visible to other users — for example your public profile, public lists, reviews, and follow relationships. Your profile is public; you control what others see by keeping a list private or marking individual titles private.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the service.

5. Your choices and rights

You can view and edit your profile, change your username, mark lists or individual titles private, and adjust your settings at any time in the app.

You can permanently delete your account from Settings → Delete Account, or by emailing hello@vexotracker.app. Deleting your account removes your profile, library, progress, ratings, and reviews. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact us at hello@vexotracker.app to make a request.

6. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data is removed from our active systems. Limited technical logs may persist for a short period for security and debugging before being discarded.

7. Security

Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections. While no system can be guaranteed 100% secure, we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

8. Children

Vexo is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, notifying you in the app.
